Global Talent Visa

Global Talent Independent Program (GTI) is for highly skilled workers from target sectors to boost the Australian economy.

Eligibility for Global Talent Independent Program (GTI)

To be granted a visa under the Global Talent Visa Program, a candidate must:

  • Should be able to attract a salary that meets the high-income threshold – currently AUD$158,500.
  • Prove they are internationally recognised with evidence of outstanding achievements.
  • Should be prominent in their field of expertise.
  • Provide evidence that they would be an asset to Australia, in their area of expertise.
  • Should have no difficulty obtaining employment in Australia or becoming established in their field.
  • Should have a recognised organisation or individual (Nominator) in Australia endorse and support your application.

Before applying for the Australia Global Talent Visa every applicant is required to lodge an Expression of Interest (EOI) for consideration under the Global Talent Independent Program.

If the applicant meets the eligibility criteria, they will be provided with a unique identifier number (UIN) that offers priority processing for a Distinguished Talent visa application.

Once the applicant is issued a unique identification number, they have (60) sixty days to apply for their visa.
